The best collection of material relating to the history of Jews in Mississippi is at the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life in Jackson. The ISJL maintains records of synagogues in Jackson, Vicksburg, Meridian, Natchez, Greenwood, and Clarksdale. The ISJL also has various collections from around the state and the deep South region. In addition, the Institute maintains the "Encyclopedia of Southern Jewish Communities" on its website, which contains histories of Jewish communities from nine different southern states.
